1/3/2024 0 Comments Antimatter blue mustangAs a reminder, way back in June of 2019, Ford Authority was the first to report that the Ford F-150 Raptor would once again be available with a V8 engine. There, the “R” variant will come equipped with the supercharged Ford 5.2L V8 Predator engine currently used in in the S550 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, producing around 750 horsepower. The biggest difference between the F-150 Raptor and 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R, however, lies under the hood. The Raptor R will also offer its own unique 17-inch forged aluminum wheel option. For starters, up front, the Raptor R features an “R” underneath the “D” in its “Ford” script grille. The 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R – which was developed under the codename “Carnivore,” as Ford Authority reported earlier this week – looks quite a bit like the regular F-150 Raptor, albeit with a few subtle differences. Now, Ford Authority spies have spotted yet another 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R out driving around, this time finished in Antimatter Blue. It is easily the best GT350R color around and looks awesome with the black stripe accents.Just a couple of weeks ago, Ford Authority spies spotted a 2023 Ford F-150 Raptor R wearing zero camo for the very first time, and last week, those same spies came across not one, but two additional F-150 Raptor R models – this time in Agate Black Metallic and Area 51, shortly after Ford Authority was the first to report that the latter hue will be available on the muscular model. Rounding out our list of the best blue Mustang colors is the recent Lightning Blue that was used in 2017 on the GT350R. It stood out and is now used by a lot of people on restomods. The next blue Mustang shade on our best of blue list is Azura Blue was also rare in that it was only used in 20 and was only available on the Mach 1. Another memorable blue shade was known as "Gulfstream Aqua" and was famously used for three model years from 1968-1970. It makes our list because it was used on the 50th Anniversary 2015 Mustangs and it looks awesome (note it was a special order color). It was introduced in 2010 and was around a few years before being replaced by Deep Impact blue. Another awesome Mustang blue shade is an altogether more recent addition to the mix and is known as Kona Blue. The history is strong and it is the one blue Mustang every fan remembers, easily one of the most iconic Ford Mustang colors ever made. First place for best shade of Mustang blue has to go to Grabber Blue. First of all this isn't easy because like we mentioned above there are 81 unique blue colors over the years for a total of 180 unique combinations on specific model years. This topic is so subjective that I know we are going to ruffle some feathers with our picks for the best blue Mustang color shade. This came to be the color referred to as Petty Blue. They ended up having to mix the dark blue and white paints together instead of using the colors separately so that they could finish painting. The story goes that the color is almost identical to Petty Blue and this color originated by accident by Petty brothers Richard and Maurice when running out of paint when painting a car. Over the years the Grabber Blue name changed to cross promotional names such as Blue Lightning, Competition Blue, and Pinto Blue. Most people know this blue Mustang color from the 1970 Boss 302. The most famous blue color is easily the Grabber Blue color. First introduced in 1969 with the Shelby and increased its popularity during the early 70s. You probably didn't know that there have been over almost 180 "blue" Mustang color options throughout the history of the Mustang with 81 "blue" unique colors offered during that time.
